Das folgende Beispiel stammt aus einem Buch, das 1996 rechtzeitig zur Photokina in Köln aus dem Englischen ins Deutsche übersetzt werden musste.
Das Buch wurde im Auftrag von Kodak von der Werbeagentur Saatchi & Saatchi in den USA entwickelt und produziert.
Für Übersetzungen steht in der Regel nicht mehr viel Zeit zur Verfügung. Im vorliegenden Fall ist der Text am späten Nachmittag eingetroffen. Die Übersetzung wurde noch am gleichen Tag vor Büroschluss in den USA zurückerwartet.
L'exemple suivant est un extrait d'un livre qui devait être traduit de l'anglais vers l'allemand pour être distribué à la Photokina de Cologne en 1996.
Ce livre a été conçu et produit pour Kodak par l'agence de publicité américaine Saatchi & Saatchi.
En fin de parcours, le temps disponible pour une traduction n'est généralement plus très long. Ainsi, ce texte est arrivé en fin d'après-midi avec prière de renvoyer la traduction le même jour avant la fermeture du bureau aux Etats-Unis.
The following example is part of a book which had to be translated into German in order to be distributed at the 1996 Photokina in Cologne.
The book was designed and produced for Kodak by the US advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi.
At the end of the line, there is usually not much time left for translations. In this case, I received the text late in the afternoon with the translation expected back the same day before closing hours in the US.
